I've had my system for 6 months and just replaced the batteries in the motion detectors. I assume that employing better top quality batteries than those provided will mean altering them closer to when a year. Not bad at all, offered that I do not have to run any wires to these places.
I opted not to use the window/door sensors, as they appear somewhat tacky in my opinion. As an alternative, I got a couple extra motion detectors to give complete coverage of my residence. The sensors are somewhat adjustable. On the default setting, they do choose up my 4 pound dog.
In the past 6 months, I haven't had any false alarms exactly where I could not identify the cause. There have been numerous days exactly where I forgot to disengage the process and walked appropriate by means of the motion detection field. Naturally, I can not blame that on the process.
General, I'd say this is an astounding process for the price tag. The manage pad looks kinda inexpensive, so I didn't prominently display it in my house. It is in a closet. The motion detectors are especially little and unobtrusive. I've told loved ones and friends that I have the alarm method and most of them did not have any thought, as the detectors blend in fairly well.
Hi every person, i ordered the Skylink SC-100W (newer model) and received mine 2 days ago. I set it up yesterday. Since the method comes pre-set it only took me 30 minutes. The only thing i had to alter was the passcode. The motion detector alone would have been enough for me as that issue is as sharp as a needle. Since i have no pets and no kids i have mine on high and it's great. The window/door sensors took a bit of playing around with but they're working fine (for now). I have my alarm on "Chime" mode given that the siren is tremendously loud, my ears had been ringing all night right after i had tested it. Nonetheless i have terrific comfort realizing i can use the panic button on my keychain to activate the siren if i really feel i am in danger. It really is so loud that my neighbours will hear it and will be calling 911 in no time. I had the alarm on all night and had no false alarms. It has only been 1 night but i am rather happy with the method. I am told this a newer model, i am not very sure how it differs from the Skylink SC 100 Deluxe Kit. If anyone could tell me the difference that would be excellent. All in all i'm especially pleased with the technique and i'm giving it four stars simply because of how sharp the motion sensor is and considering that the siren is quite loud. I sleep properly at night....really nicely.
