Bought this final week for an upcoming trip to Europe for use as an added measure of security in the hotel rooms we are staying in. Received quite rapid working with Amazon Prime.
Tested this portable lock in my home with two various doors and operates wonders! With this lock on, it will make it extremely challenging for an intruder to come in to your area. Although the red piece is plastic it is reinforced with a metal plate underneath it which makes it genuinely solid! This makes the entire transportable lock made of metal! As soon as installed, it was tricky for me to go in the household. I consider that I would have to kick the door in to jar this transportable lock loose.
Good extra measure of safety! I will sleep improved understanding that even if an intruder manage to pick the locks of my hotel area, they would have to kick the door in to open it with this transportable lock in place!

When it fits, it provides a sturdy barrier, fast to place on or get rid of. It can be especially useful when renting vacation houses or condos where some realtors, property managers, or upkeep guys tend to enter with out even knocking at instances. Too numerous many people appear to have keys, and feel entitled to enter whenever they please, at such places. Regrettably, it only fits common doors, and only when the door and lock fit the frame perfectly.
I have never been able to use it at a hotel, and as well normally get it won't perform in common doors. Regrettably, housekeeping and maintenance staff have keys to ALL locks, even deadbolts, and can even get into rooms with safety bars very easily. I would like to see a new version of this for hotels, and some adjust that would make it simpler to use on "imperfect" doors.
